Hazel McGinlay

Hazel is Walker Laird’s Financial Controller and joined the firm in 2015 after completing her BA Hons Business & Management degree at Glasgow Caledonian University in 2013. Hazel has responsibility for all aspects of the financial management of the firm as well as overseeing the firm’s day-to-day operations. Hazel attends management meetings to contribute towards the development of the firm, both operationally and strategically.

Hazel is often the first point of contact for clients and businesses to guide them through the process of Walker Laird’s services. Her father Ronnie and brother Ross are both Partners in the firm and her mother, also called Hazel, works within the Private Client Department of the firm. Hazel and her immediate family all grew up in Renfrewshire and all still live and work in the area.

Hazel is also passionate about helping the local community and this can be seen through her experience of collaborating with St Mirren FC and Hospices including St. Vincent’s Hospice, ACCORD Hospice and The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice. She continues to incorporate charitable projects into both her working and social life.
